How To Fix iPhone 4s Voice Echo.....Finally!

These two little culprits were causing the problem!

So you just got your new iPhone 4s, popped it into a protective case, and then the frustration begins! 

Whoever you call says that their voice will echo when talking to you. 

 You tried taking back the phone for a new one but the same thing happens with a new one......ughhhh!!

Well the culprit is most likely your phone case and not the phone itself.



My husband got a new iPhone 4s and had this exact same problem. We tried everything and searched and searched the Internet trying to find some answers!

We took it out of the case finally and guess what? The echoing stopped! But like my husband said "I can't go around using my phone without  some kind of a protective case."

And he loves his Griffin Survivor case. He was using it without any problems with his iPhone 4.

 Luckily for us we finally found an answer.

If you look inside the Griffin case, at the bottom of the case, you'll see what looks like two pieces of black tape (on either side of the charging port opening) that are covering the holes where the mic and speaker are.

We took a paper clip (or anything sharp) and peeled the black tape off of both openings on the case and then put the iPhone back in its case. Voila! No more echoing on the receivers end when you are talking to someone. Everything crystal clear!  What a relief! OMG it was driving us crazy!

Hopefully this post will help someone dealing with the same issue. My husband has tried a lot of cases and he always goes back to the Griffin. Hopefully Griffin will figure this out because they have awesome cases.

Aweber vs iContact......OK...So Which One's Best?

Aweber vs iContact................So which one do I choose?

Well, I've just been through the decision making process myself and it's fresh on my mind so I decided to share how I came to my decision.

First thing........these are BOTH very good companies and no matter which one you choose, you will be with a very reputable and highly regarded autoresponder company.

So, here's how I made my decision:

1. Is it reputable?
2. What do they offer?
3. Are they a single opt in or double opt in autoresponder?
4. Is it user friendly?
5. How much does it cost?

Here's what I found out:

1. Is it reputable? From all my research, Aweber, icontact and GetResponse were the three top autoresponders by far.

2. What do they offer? Well they both offer very similar things although I am told that Aweber can be more helpful for larger lists.


3. Are they single opt in or double opt in autoresponders?

OK, so here's how they differ.....Aweber is strictly double opt in where icontact is both. For example, let's say you already have a list that you want to export.

With Aweber, the people on your list would need to opt in again..........with iContact they would not.

Aweber requires a person to click a confirmation link in an email sent to them before being added to the list. iContact will add someone to your list right away unless you specify that you WANT double opt in .

4.Is it user friendly?

I have used both...............and I guess I would have to say iContact is a bit more user friendly.

5. How much does it cost?

There is a difference here..............iContact has more of a structured and economical pricing plan (especially in the beginning) dependent on how many subscribers you have. As your list grows, you pay more but they always seem to be a little cheaper than AWEBER especially in the beginning.

Wealthy Affiliate Opinion....So What Do I Think?

I noticed that there were a lot of searches for Wealthy Affiliate Opinion so I thought I would give mine:-)

First off, I am a Wealthy Affiliate member and have been for over two years. I ran into it while searching the internet...........you know how you're searching the internet for one thing and you find something else you weren't really looking for:-)

Is it really possible to generate income from home? Well the short answer is yes, it is, but the longer answer is yes, it is, but how badly do you want it?

You can literally generate income from home with just an internet connection and a computer BUT you have to know how to do it and you have to want it badly enough to obtain it.

There is a story about a young man who wanted to gain insight and wisdom. He went to Socrates, who was considered one of the wisest men of his time. After asking Socrates how he could receive more wisdom, Socrates took the young man down to the water and walked in with him.

Without saying a word, Socrates pushed the young mans head under the water with all his might. After holding him there for what felt like eternity, Socrates let the young man up out of the water.

He asked the young man," What did you want more than anything else while you were under the water? The young man said, "Why I wanted air to breath"!

Socrates said, "When you want wisdom as much as you wanted air to breath, then you will receive it".

I love this story because it is so true. If you want to generate income from home and be successful at it, then you will need to want it "as badly as you want air to breath".

There is no easy road to financial success online BUT if you want it badly enough, you will succeed in getting it!

How Do I Choose Good Keywords For My Website?

How do I choose good keywords for my website? Many people are looking for help choosing keywords for their website. They want to find the best keywords for online advertising . Well, here are a couple of tips that might help you out!

There are ALOT of strategies about this but I think there are a few basics that will work very well.

First, you need a good keyword research tool (besides your brain which is excellent)And you might be surprised, but I think the best ones are free! So don't think you'll need to buy one to get started. I would suggest the Google research tool and also the SEO Book Keyword suggestion tool. Either one of these tools will help you find the best keywords for online advertising.

So, how do I choose good keywords for my website ? Here's a good rule of thumb for help choosing keywords. If you're new to internet marketing and just getting started, then you'll want to stay in the kiddie pool, as my friend PotPieGirl suggests. Look for keywords that when typed in Google will return less than 1000 results. Now you'll want to put quotes on either side of the word or phrase to check this out. I'll talk more about this in another post.

So for example if your site is about baking cakes and you want to use the keyword phrase " how to bake a cake" then you would enter it in google just like that. Then look and see how many results come back. Anything under 1000 will work great. As far as the number of searches per month, it really depends on what kind of campaign you are setting up.

If you found out that say "how to bake a cake" only had 7 results (competing pages) come back and there were 6 searches a day, that might be a great little keyword phrase. But if it had 15,000 results and only 2 searches a day, then that would not be a good keyword phrase to use.

So just remember, when you need help choosing keywords and you are asking yourself the question, "how do I choose good keywords for my website" do good keyword research first and look for low competition results and high search volume.

Using Squidoo For Marketing....Yep, It Works!

Squidoo is a great tool to use if you are just beginning affiliate marketing. First off, it's free! Doesn't cost you a penny and when you use the right techniques, it can be very profitable.

First, you need to learn how to market with Squidoo . Always use a very subtle approach. So many marketers make the fatal mistake of using hard core, in your face advertising and all that really does is scare your prospective customer away. With Squidoo, if you use that type of blatant advertising, they can close your site down.

That being said, if you do it the right way it can be very lucrative. Say, for example, you want to advertise apparel or accessories for a certain football team. Make sure the Squidoo lens that you make has good quality content on it. Maybe some info about the school mascot or a video clip of one of the games. Make it interesting, offer GOOD, INFORMATIVE content and THEN add your affiliate links throughout the page.

Here is some great Squidoo marketing help that you might want to check out. It's called One Week Marketing and it lays out an easy to follow, step by step plan on building a profitable campaign using Squidoo. Before using this I had made VERY few sales and had been doing affiliate marketing for about 1 1/2 years. Just couldn't figure it all out.
